Programmer Analyst

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our Internal Audit & Software Acceptance Department is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst. This permanent full time position is responsible for auditing the programs created by the Game Generation Department to ensure the data that is generated for lottery tickets meets all customer specifications, game restrictions and prize structures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and test game applications/scripts to audit lottery ticket games that meet customer and game specification requirements and delivery deadlines
  • Ensure integrity and security of all information and processes by producing work with a high level of accuracy and quality

Image Development Technician

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Pollard Banknote is expanding its Image Development Group and is recruiting for an Image Development Technician. This full time permanent position will be responsible for creating fonts and images in order to print the variable data on lottery tickets. The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring fonts and images are complete, accurate, meet customer specifications and are delivered on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create font schedules and imager jobs through review and interpretation of game information including but not limited to customer specifications, wireframes, fonts
  • Produce detailed and accurate work within deadlines
  • Ensure all work adheres to each customer’s guidelines/features and meets department standards for completeness and correctness
  • Create and review imager jobs, comparing fonts appearing on the tickets to the fonts appearing in the customer specs, verifying that information appearing on the tickets matches the data file
  • Create and deliver documentation for production requirements for other IDG staff, software acceptance, proofreading etc.
  • Create imager jobs for R&D purposes
  • Communicate with other departments in regards to font schedules and imager jobs
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of High School or general education degree (GED); Post-secondary education in graphics or software development would be considered an asset

PROCUREMENT ANALYST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Under the direction of the Purchasing Supervisor, this full time position will focus on analyzing and evaluating purchases both on a per plant and Corporate basis to provide direction regarding effective purchasing strategies between various Pollard manufacturing facilities. This position will have responsibility for Minority Business requirements, monthly reporting, and specialty/project purchases. Additional duties will include purchasing support and back up to the other buyers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing arrangements with existing suppliers and streamline purchasing agreements involving all Pollard Banknote plants
  • Provide monthly Purchasing reports to monitor the cost saving initiatives within the plants and other project reporting
  • Research, identify and recommend suppliers to meet Minority Business requirements for State Lotteries; Monitor and ensure contract commitments are met
  • Review the purchasing administration system to streamline, automate, and upgrade the information values for management decision making
  • Assist in review of all aspects of supplier performance ensuring expectations & standards are communicated and adhered to, including the development of key performance indicators for evaluating suppliers
  • Ensure all purchasing activities conform to the requirements established within the various ISO audited systems; provide monthly reports to ensure Supplier responses to action requests and non-conformances
  • Enter monthly and quarterly receipts and/or invoices for contract purchases
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Commerce/Business degree or post-secondary education related to Supply Chain Management or a combination of education and related experience

INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC (MILLWRIGHT)

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This permanent full-time position is responsible for providing mechanical maintenance support on a variety of print production equipment and building systems to support day to day operations of the facility. This includes performing preventative maintenance tasks, diagnostic and troubleshooting services, responding to emergency breakdowns and completion of accurate work order data entry/documentation. This position at times performs project work on an as needed basis for new installations and customizations on existing equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure proper performance and operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime for production
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs in an expedited and efficient manner
  • Complete work related to preventive maintenance inspections and planned work orders

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Certification
