LAB TECHNICIAN

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re currently looking for a Lab Technician that will report into our Lab Manager. The Lab Technician is responsible for ensuring ticket security for clients through rigorous and reliable testing to provide precise and accurate reports on product security conformance according to company and customer specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct full Security Evaluation on all new games or games with production changes ensuring ticket security for Pollard Banknote
  • Record test results on QA Security Test
  • Collect and account for start and end voids and evaluate voids in accordance to Lab operating manual
  • Complete and distribute Laboratory Inspection Reports when required
  • Promote effective communication between departments and provide feedback to manufacturing throughout production run

QUALIFICATIONS:

FOLDER OPERATOR (MANUFACTURING)

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Pollard Banknote Limited is seeking a Folder Operator to join our growing manufacturing team! This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-established, reputable, leading company in the print and lottery industry.

Reporting to the Pressroom Supervisor, the Folder Operator’s main responsibilities include, complete operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of the Press while maintaining high production levels and high standards of product quality and integrity.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity and requires individuals available and willing to work flexible shifts. The primary shift will be 12-hours, three nights a week, Tuesday to Thursday nights. Training will be provided.

SALES & INVENTORY ANALYST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Sales & Inventory Analyst to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Management by providing timely, thorough, accurate and comprehensive analysis of the Company’s financial performance. GAME PLANNER

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to join our Game Planning Team! As a Game Planner, you will oversee the development of all technical printing and manufacturing aspects of the Lottery’s games—from initial design concept through to the finished product. In addition, this role ensures that all designs, specifications, layouts and communications are consistent from department to department as the ticket moves through the various stages of the production process and that quality is maintained throughout.

FINISHING WORKER - NIGHTS

The Opportunity:

Pollard Banknote is seeking for a PERMANENT CASUAL FINISHING WORKER who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment for our manufacturing department. The primary shifts will be Sunday to Tuesday nights, including Saturday nights. There will be required flexibility to work other shifts as needed as per the production schedule. Please do not apply for this position, if you are not available to work these days/shifts.

Reporting to the Finishing Supervisor(s), this permanent casual position (12 hour bi-weekly minimum, but regularly more) offers a schedule of fixed twelve-hour shifts: 7PM to 7AM.

As a member of our Finishing Department, you will process serialized lottery tickets using automated, semi-automated and manual equipment methods to prepare our final product. You will work in a variety of areas such as scanning, shrink wrapping, cartoning, inspection and palletizing.

Previous experience for these entry level positions is not required; training, support and guidance will be provided to ensure success in this role.

MATERIAL COORDINATOR (SHIPPING/RECEIVING DEPARTMENT)

This position will support the visual presentation and written communications needs of the various projects undertaken by the Business Development team. We are currently seeking four (4) full time permanent Press Assistants to join our Manufacturing Team. The Press Assistant is required to work in a variety of different areas within the pressroom and on a number of different presses and equipment, as required.

The shifts we are looking to fill, are; S – T days and nights (7AM – 7PM & 7PM – 7AM) and W – FR days and nights (7AM – 7PM & 7PM – 7AM). Availability to work and cover on other shifts, including short notice overtime and scheduled overtime on bi-weekly Saturdays, will be a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with safe and efficient operation of presses was assigned; includes loading and unloading rolls of paper or tickets, inspect material & print quality, monitor supplies and log production information
  • Ensure production targets are met and products printed are in accordance with game specifications, quality and PBL standards
  • Ensure equipment and work areas are clean and organized
  • Complete changeovers, minor preventative maintenance and routine repairs
  • Effectively communicate all relevant game-status details and equipment operation details

Qualifications:

CONDITION MONITORING TECHNICIAN

The Opportunity:

We are looking for someone to be responsible for providing ongoing condition monitoring support on a variety of print production equipment and building systems to support day to day operations of the plant. This includes performing subjective and quantifiable measuring, routine preventative maintenance tasks and input of measures taken into a computerized maintenance management system. The successful candidate will also lead a maintenance team in Root Cause Problem Solving and Failure Analysis Mode to reduce repeating equipment failures.

Anticipated shift will be Monday to Friday with occasional overtime and/or weekend requirements. From time to time infrequent travel to other PBL facilities in Canada and USA may be required to assist in equipment installs or repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper performance and operation of machinery and mechanical equipment for production
  • Perform objective monitoring for machine condition using quantifiable measures such as oil and vibration analysis and thermography reporting
  • Perform subjective monitoring by the Look, Listen and Feel method
  • Minimize production downtime by completing equipment monitoring and preventive maintenance inspections

SECURITY OFFICER - PERMANENT CASUAL

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently recruiting for casual Security Officers for permanent casual employment. Hours of work will include Saturday and/or Sundays from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 6:00 am and on call as required to cover vacations and/or leaves – both scheduled and not scheduled. .

As a member of Corporate Security, the successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing policies and procedures relative to the safety and security of company property and personnel, monitoring building entrances and exits as well as building grounds, reporting violations, fire, accident, theft and vandalism and assisting with the various day to day security issues for the Winnipeg plant. 

NOTE: Training to take place over the course of 3 – 4 weeks and will require 2 – 3 days/nights of availability each week. Regular shifts following the successful completion of training will be permanent, casual shifts, averaging a minimum of 12 hours bi-weekly. Ongoing availability to work casual night shifts is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor building entrances and exits, conduct regular and lengthy security check patrols and respond to security and safety incidents
  • Ensure all security processes are followed and integrity is maintained
  • View and document activity of security tapes/key scans, issue daily security logs and security reports
  • Respond to questions, enquires and resolve problems regarding security related issues

INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC

THE OPPORTUNITY

Working within our two automated print production facilities, this permanent full-time position is responsible for providing mechanical maintenance support on a variety of print production equipment and building systems to support day to day operations of the plant.
