MANAGER - PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Executive Vice-President Information Technology, the Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) will be responsible for establishing a formal PMO at Pollard Banknote. The PMO will manage a multitude of projects related to our Manufacturing, Engineering, and Information Technology areas from inception to completion. The Manager will guide the PMO governance meetings, tracking cross functional projects, flagging issues and highlighting project prioritization.

As an experienced project management professional and leader, the incumbent will actively manage a portfolio of projects, while providing mentorship and advice to PM professionals and will build on a solid reputation of project delivery, professional development and continuous improvement of PMO practices, standards and deliverables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the creation, evolution and maturation of the PMO ensuring best practices and standards are established and upheld
  • Oversee all aspects of project delivery including scope, risk, changes, issues, scheduling, cost, quality and communication
  • Effective oversight of multiple concurrent projects from inception to completion, involving senior business customers, IT Services and vendors
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Project Management methodology and Solution Delivery Lifecycle
  • Assist and mentor project management professionals, as needed, to successfully deliver assigned projects
  • Provide positive and effective leadership to the team by encouraging employee recognition, career growth and development and a respectful work environment
  • Full people management responsibilities including staffing, performance reviews, career development planning and employee relations
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science combined with project management, (e.g. PMP designation) and active participation in the Project Management Institute, will be considered assets
  • Experience as a senior project manager with proven program management experience in an environment characterized by business initiatives, manufacturing and/or engineering projects, system integration, packaged solution implementations, infrastructure deployment and custom software development projects
  • Proficiency in the use of project management tools, industry best practices and processes (e.g. Microsoft Project, PMBOK, Prince2)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively coach and mentor
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering large/complex solutions on-time and on-budget that meet stakeholders’ quality expectations

MARKETING COORDINATOR

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a creative, self-starter to join our Marketing Team! In this role you will be responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of distinctive and compelling marketing initiatives as well as assisting with the planning and execution of industry events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide support for external and internal communication efforts including but not limited to the development of product launches, collateral, promotions, events, advertising, and digital initiatives (web/e-blasts)

CAD SPECIALIST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented CAD Specialist to join our Engineering Team! As a CAD Specialist you would be responsible for interacting with the manufacturing, maintenance and engineering departments to collect field data in order to develop new engineering 2D & 3D design drawings, modify and update existing design drawings, as well as create and update technical documents as necessary to support the needs of the business.

In addition, this position will maintain and control the technical documentation management system to ensure all documentation is up to date with the latest revisions and compliant with established procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collect field data from the manufacturing floor processes, systems, and facilities
  • Create or modify engineering 2D and 3D design drawings and models using AutoCAD
  • Create, update, and control engineering records and technical documentation
  • Assist in the implementation of a technical documentation database utilizing various CAD and Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) tools
  • Maintain and control the technical documentation tracking system
QUALIFICATIONS:

PRODUCTION PROOFREADER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, print industry professional to join our team as a Production Proofreader! In this role, you will be one of the final checkpoints responsible for ensuring the entire game setup including product specifications and artwork is proofed and ready to go to production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Proofread production files, text, artwork and all up press layouts
  • Comparing customer specifications and production specifications
  • Create a written review on all specification discrepancies

QUALIFICATIONS:

Internal Auditor

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and working closely with the Executive Vice President, Finance, this is a unique opportunity to develop the internal audit function within Pollard Banknote. As the successful candidate, you will support Pollard Banknote in achieving its strategic objectives by implementing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls.

Based in Winnipeg, you will be responsible for the development of the strategic and annual internal audit plans as well as performing detailed internal audit procedures throughout the Pollard Banknote group of companies. Working independently, you must be self-motivated and able to develop and direct the application of internal audit resources in a risk-based approach, providing independent assurance and consulting services. Critical thinking, combined with creative ability to provide recommendations and optimal improvements is a must. In addition, you must be able to work effectively with senior management of Pollard Banknote as well as have experience working directly with independent audit committees and directors.

Pricing / Business Analyst

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a financially savvy professional with strong analytical skills to join our Team! This position is responsible for developing pricing, estimates and other business analytics for all PBL companies including partnerships, internal and external clients and other stakeholders. Additionally, the Pricing/Business Analyst will provide pricing estimates and perform data analytics for all Pollard Banknote clients for both ad hoc and formal RFP requests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops request for proposals responses with regards to pricing and business analytics, business model analysis, estimating & pricing, communication with external and internal suppliers, document preparation and submission of contractually binding documentation
  • Prepares estimate pricing and related analytical requests, for various levels of internal customers and key external stakeholders
  • Develops business analytics case studies including estimating and pricing for various projects including new products, services, ideas, and concepts
  • Develops ERP system (DiMS) pricing and data entry , ensuring contractual compliance with all existing and new contracts, as well as contractual pricing updates and contract rollovers
  • Administers pricing for all new and existing contracts which includes, maintaining accurate and timely contractual pricing, ensuring contractual compliance for all pricing updates, adjustments, extensions, etc.
  • Collects and compiles competitive pricing
  • Verifies correct application of pricing per customer contracts

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma preferred in a related discipline (i.e. Finance, Business)
  • Minimum 2 years work experience with financial analysis and/or cost modeling; within a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset

Programmer Analyst

Pollard Banknote’s IT Department is expanding and we’re looking for Programmer Analysts to join our Game Development group.

Department Overview:

Work with a variety of clients on a wide range of diverse short-term projects, building your skill set through algorithm development, random number generator, statistical data analysis, internal auditing and game generation.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our Internal Audit & Software Acceptance Department is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst. This permanent full time position is responsible for auditing the programs created by the Game Generation Department to ensure the data that is generated for lottery tickets meets all customer specifications, game restrictions and prize structures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and test game applications/scripts to audit lottery ticket games that meet customer and game specification requirements and delivery deadlines
  • Ensure integrity and security of all information and processes by producing work with a high level of accuracy and quality
  • Audit and analyze all game data ensuring all requirements are met through testing, reviewing and verification
  • Read and interpret customer specifications/requirements and audit data according to specs
  • Verify data requirements are unambiguous, logical and without playability concerns

QUALIFICATIONS:
