MARKETING COORDINATOR - LICENSED GAMES

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a well-organized self-starter to join our Marketing Team! Creativity and attention to detail are critical in this role as you will be responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives for Pollard’s licensed games portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

GRAPHIC + PRESENTATION DESIGNER

SECURITY OFFICER - PERMANENT CASUAL

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently recruiting for casual Security Officers for permanent casual employment. Hours of work will include Saturday and/or Sundays from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 6:00 am and on call as required to cover vacations and/or leaves – both scheduled and not scheduled. .

As a member of Corporate Security, the successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing policies and procedures relative to the safety and security of company property and personnel, monitoring building entrances and exits as well as building grounds, reporting violations, fire, accident, theft and vandalism and assisting with the various day to day security issues for the Winnipeg plant. 

NOTE: Training to take place over the course of 3 – 4 weeks and will require 2 – 3 days/nights of availability each week. Regular shifts following the successful completion of training will be permanent, casual shifts, averaging a minimum of 12 hours bi-weekly. Ongoing availability to work casual night shifts is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor building entrances and exits, conduct regular and lengthy security check patrols and respond to security and safety incidents
  • Ensure all security processes are followed and integrity is maintained
  • View and document activity of security tapes/key scans, issue daily security logs and security reports
  • Respond to questions, enquires and resolve problems regarding security related issues

INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC

THE OPPORTUNITY

Working within our two automated print production facilities, this permanent full-time position is responsible for providing mechanical maintenance support on a variety of print production equipment and building systems to support day to day operations of the plant. This includes performing preventative maintenance tasks, diagnostic and troubleshooting services, responding to emergency breakdowns and completing accurate work order data entry/documentation. This position at times may also perform project work on an as needed basis for new installations and customizations on existing equipment to improve manufacturing efficiencies.

The position requires an individual who is able to meet the requirements for physical demanding work, is flexible to work various shifts and available for overtime and/or on call duty as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper performance and operation of machinery and mechanical equipment for production
  • Minimize production downtime by completing preventive maintenance inspections, planned work orders and responding to breakdowns and emergency repairs in an expedited and efficient manner

DIGITAL ASSET COORDINATOR

DIRECTOR, PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Executive Vice-President Information Technology, the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) will be responsible for maintenance and evolution of the PMO at Pollard Banknote. The PMO will manage a multitude of projects related to our Manufacturing, Engineering, Game Management & Design, Digital Solutions, and Information Technology areas from inception to completion. The Director will guide the PMO governance meetings, tracking cross functional projects, flagging issues and highlighting project prioritization. As an experienced project management professional and leader, the incumbent will actively manage a portfolio of projects, while providing mentorship and advice to PM professionals and will build on a solid reputation of project delivery, professional development and continuous improvement of PMO practices, standards and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the evolution and maturation of the PMO ensuring best practices and standards are established and upheld

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a self-motivated and passionate individual to join the fast-paced environment as a Senior Business Analyst with the Digital Solutions Team at Pollard Banknote. In this role you will be responsible for working with many different internal and external teams to gather requirements and manage the effective planning and lifecycle management of digital solutions for the lottery industry. As Senior Business Analyst you will maintain product backlog, create product roadmap, direct the project team and assist in business analysis. Product planning responsibilities include awareness and analysis of business and operational needs and translates them to product requirements and roadmap, and ensure the team has the tools and the expertise to deliver the product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Marketing, Sales and Development teams to facilitate the development of new digital products and enhance existing products
  • Work with the Product Director and other stakeholders to prioritize and maintain the product backlog and roadmap
  • Directs and coordinates the activities of the project team during all stages of product lifecycle to ensure projects progress is on schedule and within prescribed budget

Lead Application Developer

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a self-motivated Lead Developer to join The Lottery Management Systems Development Team at Pollard. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for new and existing lottery customers. This include, requirements gathering, interacting with project stakeholders and customers and leading our department development efforts and overall base code architecture.

This position leads a team of developers, providing technical leadership and mentorship for the development, management, and support of web applications, integration frameworks, and other applications as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver fully functional and tested software solutions that meet all business and customer requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in current web technologies and multiple programming languages (PHP, JavaScript, Java, Java Spring Framework, ReactJS, HTML, CSS)
  • Proficiency with database design and SQL

Programmer Analyst

THE OPPORTUNITY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and test game applications/scripts to program lottery ticket games that meet customer and game specification requirements and delivery deadlines
  • Analyze data generated by software to ensure accurate randomization of data to meet all security requirements
  • Ensure all new software development has its own architecture while fitting into the departments overall software architecture
  • Ensure programs and Game Gen support applications remain in an operational state; maintain base codes and process bug fixes

QUALIFICATIONS:

PROJECT MANAGER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a driven, results-oriented Project Manager to join our growing Project Management Office. In this role, you will be responsible for leading teams to deliver projects that span across one or more departments, often including external partnerships with vendors and suppliers as well as customer-facing projects.

As a Project Manager, you will be ensuring scope is documented and well understood between the project team and all stakeholders, be accountable to the project sponsor to deliver frequent status updates and all other project methodology deliverables. You will be responsible for delivering the project on time, on budget and within scope, and capturing and escalating issues, risks and decisions to ensure transparency around project health, as well as options and trade-offs for decision items.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive the development of the project charter and project plan from the originating project request with input from project team members and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project team members and stakeholders to develop project schedule, identify issues and risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and control project progress using various tools (burn up/down charts, velocity charts, forecasting models, updated Gantt charts, etc.) to track progress against deadlines
  • Serve as the first point of escalation with project team members and works to remove blockers
  • Facilitate meetings with project teams and all stakeholders
  • Liaise with various Pollard Banknote stakeholders to assist with business case development
  • Develop meeting agendas and take meeting minutes capturing all action items, decisions, and issues and/or risks raised with for follow-up
  • Provide regular updates on project health and status for project sponsor and stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree or Diploma specializing in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
  • PMP or PMI-ACP/CSM designation is required
  • Prosci or other OCM designation considered an asset
  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience leading complex projects; including external customer facing IT projects, in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience managing projects using Agile methodologies (inclusive of scrum/iterations, incremental releases, user stories, Kanban techniques etc.)
  • Experience working with a large group of stakeholders with varying expectations to build cohesion and agreement on decision processes throughout the project and negotiating tradeoffs for the best overall project outcomes
