SENIOR NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our IT Infrastructure Team is looking for an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our growing organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, security and operational management of Pollard Banknote’s enterprise data communications network.

In addition, the Senior Network Administrator will be responsible and accountable for the installation, maintenance, security, availability, monitoring, reporting and quality of services for the LAN, WAN and Internet network environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support and maintain core network services LAN, WAN and Internet Portal network environments
  • Isolate, resolve and document all operational and technical problems and performance bottlenecks
  • Develop and maintain network management procedures including the documentation of procedures for daily operational support for the LAN, WAN and Internet Infrastructure (e.g. backups, logging, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

PROJECT MANAGER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a self-motivated, Project Manager to join our Pollard Project Management Office. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing activities within assigned Manufacturing and Technical Operations projects from inception to completion, to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within the approved timeframe, scope, budget, and with the expected quality.

In addition, this role will be a key contributor to the management and continuous improvement of the Pollard PMO, including portfolio administration, advancement of PM methodologies and coaching / training of other operational PMs within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops Project Charters, identifies stakeholders and establishes clear scope statements as part of project initiation
  • Develops integrated project plans beginning with defining all the work through a work breakdown structure (WBS), applying estimated models, documents estimating assumptions, creating project baselines and refining plans as required
  • Manages project performance against endorsed plans, identifies and tracks issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves minor project issues and escalates ones beyond their authority to Project Sponsor, Delivery Manager, or Director, PMO when required
  • Delivers projects on time, within budget, meeting client expectations and with documented goals/objectives and benefits realization
  • Develops and communications status reports, issues and action logs, and decision/change requests as required throughout the project lifecycle
  • PM will be working with Delivery Leads (and others) from the Manufacturing and Technical teams in executing the projects.   • Smooth hand-over to maintenance/operational teams. Appropriate action taken to close projects, documenting incomplete tasks and deliverables where applicable
  • Advocates on behalf of the PMO, ensuring methodology adherence and champions consistent approaches to delivery within the organization
  • Assists in administration of the PMO as directed and required, inclusive of PMO and PM collaboration platforms, dash-boarding, and suggests and implements methodology improvements as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree or Diploma in Project Management is considered an asset
  • 3-5 years’ proven experience leading complex projects in a cross-functional environment, ideally in manufacturing
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • PMP or PRINCE 2 certification an asset

COMPUTER OPERATOR

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, focused individual to join our Computer Operations department.

The Imager Files and Carton Contents Operator will work with highly sensitive data to support the manufacturing process in all plants. Primary responsibilities include; creating accurate high speed imager files, prebalancing games and creating customer book lists for the finishing department.

NOTE: The schedule for this position is from Sunday to Thursday nights, 11pm to 7am.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Creating imager files for all high speed imagers, while using customer specifications
  • Pre balances for all plants; creating and releasing control book lists and carton content listing files
  • Comparing computer, customer and draft customer specs and note any change requests
  • Create pull book lists for customers that require them
  • Scan and archive to CD all completed customer specs; file and catalogue correctly
  • Deloitte Audit Reports; receive, distribute, file and track all external audit reports

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent is required. Related post-secondary education an asset

SECURITY MANAGER

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are a growing company and this is an exciting time to join Pollard. This position is primarily focused on ensuring the safety and security of Pollard Banknote premises, company property, products and personnel though enforcing and establishing of policies and procedures. The Security Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of the department’s day to day activities, managing workflow and guiding Security Officers to ensure effective and efficient operations.   • Ensure the integrity and security of Pollard Banknote’s products and procedures, and protect company resources, assets and information by maintaining a safe and secure environment
  • Coordinate and administer overall activities related to safety & security; directly managing the security function & staff, incorporating concepts of safety, security, and customer service
  • Development and implementation of all security training; ensure all staff are trained in appropriate security policies and emergency procedures

Senior System administrator - WINTEL

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a Senior System Administrator who specializes in Wintel to join our Information Technology Infrastructure group. This full time permanent position will provide direct technical and administrative support to high availability production systems in a medium enterprise-level manufacturing environment. The Senior System Administrator – Wintel is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure, including participation in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engineering of Microsoft Windows systems solutions for various project and operational needs

INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our IT Security Team! In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and responding to Information Security events, analyzing threats and providing Information Security expertise to various IT Teams and Departments within Pollard Banknote. In addition, you will analyze and identify crucial areas related to logical security and assist in developing solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Enforce corporate IT security policies, standards, and guidelines to support corporate IT security governance

  • Investigate and track remediation of application & infrastructure vulnerabilities
  • Develop and maintain Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools to Monitor, alert and report on security events

INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Working within our two automated print production facilities, this permanent full-time position is responsible for providing electrical maintenance support on a variety of print production equipment and building systems to support day to day operations of the plant. This includes performing preventative maintenance tasks, diagnostic and troubleshooting services, responding to emergency breakdowns and completing accurate work order data entry/documentation. This position at times may also perform project work on an as needed basis for new installations and customizations on existing equipment to improve manufacturing efficiencies.

The position requires an individual who is able to meet the requirements for physical demanding work, is flexible to work various shifts and available for overtime and/or on call duty as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure proper performance and operation of machinery and mechanical equipment for production
  • Minimize production downtime by completing preventive maintenance inspections, planned work orders and responding to breakdowns and emergency repairs in an expedited and efficient manner
  • Carry out all work in a safe and professional manner complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship quality are delivered to prevent manufacturing equipment breakdowns
  • Complete accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance performed; collect, analyze and summarize information on work orders and work requisitions
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certification required
  • Minimum two years of related work experience as Red Seal Journeyman
  • Experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance within a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is an asset
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, blue prints and electrical schematics
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and organize work to manage multiple work orders to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to excel within a fast paced team environment and function independently with minimal supervision
  • Responsible and highly adaptable to work under pressure and respond to changes
  • Working knowledge of PLC’s and instrumentation experience would be considered assets

MANAGER SALES, DIGITAL SOLUTIONS

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Pollard Banknote is currently in the process of expanding our portfolio of digital products and has launched multiple initiatives around digital product development. As a result, we have a great opportunity for the right candidate in a segment of our business positioned for significant growth. We’re looking for a Manager Sales, Digital Solutions to drive sales of digital products and services, including game apps, omnichannel solutions, and CRM tools and to work collaboratively with the implementation team to insure overall customer satisfaction with our digital products.

In addition, you will develop and implement sales plans and strategies to increase our digital sales and identify opportunities for growth within the digital space.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the digital sales process internally and with our clients, including the determination of project scope, pricing, and implementation strategies
  • Develop, plan and implement sales strategies that generate long-term business value, growth and competitive advantage of digital products and services in accordance with budget expectations
  • Translate our clients’ business initiatives and strategies to solutions with strong business justifications
  • Understand and clarify product details, service specifications and benefits to the client
  • Manage the technical proposal process and ensure that all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate, properly defined and detailed
  • Become known as an industry leader in your area of expertise and impact our clients’ ability to envision potential solutions by designing strategies through a digital lens
  • Nurture client relationships and understand key parameters of client contracts. Ensure contractual obligations are met by all departments and the customer
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations, pricing proposals and bid opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales as well as experience developing sales plans and tactics for new products
  • At least 3 years’ experience in selling software solutions, technology products or SaaS, including post- and pre -sales activities, and solid understanding of the software sales process
  • Ability to recognize the needs of the client, utilize a consultative sales approach and provide detailed information about the technical specifications offered
  • Completion of post-secondary education in the field of Computer Science, Business, Sales, Marketing or other related area
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills including the ability to prepare and present effective sales presentations
  • Demonstrated financial acumen - knowledge of the principles and practices of budgets, RFPS, contracts and pricing methods
  • Advanced contract negotiation techniques while maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Developed imagination, vision and diplomacy to build consensus with all stakeholders, as well as demonstrated conflict and problem resolution capabilities
